1. DON'T PUT YOUR HEALTH ON HOLD
Working at home has many advantages, but it does have the
disadvantage of being somewhat sedentary. Sitting in front
of a computer screen all day does little to improve your
health.
In fact, the resulting lack of exercise can make you
lethargic, resulting in reduced energy and lower
productivity. Yet it doesn't take much to reverse the
effect.
A few days ago, my wife ordered a new exercise machine,
which I viewed a little dubiously. But after less than a
week of regular workouts, I'm already feeling fitter and
more energetic. My mind is buzzing with new ideas, and I
just wish there were more hours in the day to get them done.
The message is quite simply that you can't afford to put
your health on hold. Even a little effort towards keeping
yourself fit will pay big dividends, in both your personal
and your business life.

6. TOP TEN RESUME MISTAKES
Don't let simple errors cost you money.
Getting your resume right is an important step towards
building your freelance career. However, many people make
very basic mistakes which can hurt their chances.
Fortunately, these can usually be fixed very easily. Here's
an article that gives good advice on what you should and
shouldn't do:

7. GO FOR GROWTH
Put your business plan on overdrive.
Naturally, we all want our businesses to grow from success
to success. However, we are often very conservative with our
ambitions.
Business plans often project a modest growth rate of perhaps
10-15% per annum. While all growth is good, you need to be
sure you are reaching your full potential.
How fast could your business grow, if you really worked at
it? 50%? 100%? Maybe 200%?
Give yourself an ambitious target - then figure out how you
can achieve it. That way, you will truly realise your
potential.

Remember:
"I will persist until I succeed. Always will I take
another step. If that is of no avail I will take another,
and yet another. In truth, one step at a time is not too
difficult... I know that small attempts, repeated, will
complete any undertaking."
