1. $360 IN SEVEN DAYS

Amanda Noz joined for a seven-day trial period and immediately
made $360 from two different clients.

"Freelance Work Exchange has been a key factor in my transition
from the corporate world to running my own business," she says.
"As someone with 16 years' experience in the corporate world of
the high tech and telecom industry, I was very comfortable with
the requirements and terminology of that world. Last year, when
that market segment nose-dived into recession, I instinctively
knew that the way for my fledgling business to survive was to use
my broad end-to-end product management, marketing and
documentation skills across other market segments."

However, all her clients and contacts were from the same high
technology sector. Very rapidly, the million-dollar question
became "How do I find the clients needed for my business to
survive when everyone I know is being laid off or working for
companies that are laying off?"

Amanda turned to the web and immediately came across two
problems. Firstly, many sites wanted significant amounts of
payment for access - but unlike Freelance Work Exchange offered
no guarantee of results. Secondly, the sheer volume of people
accessing these sites, not to mention the reverse auction model,
drove the hourly rates down to ridiculously low levels. She felt
that many of these sites had no genuine interest in either
helping people find work or companies find talent - it was a
cynical money-making exercise that exploited vulnerable
job-seekers. Moreover, it did not fit with her company philosophy
of providing qualified and experienced talent for just-in-time
results-oriented, expert assistance to solve customer problems.

"When I found Freelance Work Exchange, several things impressed
me," she says. "The guarantee which convinced me it wasn't a
scam, the price because wasn't too big a risk, the limit on the
number of users and especially the volume of support and backup
material that could teach me about being a freelancer. So for a
$2.95 subscription, I joined for a seven-day trial period and
immediately made $360 from two different clients! While that is
not a lot of money per se, it convinced me that the jobs on
Freelance Work Exchange were real work opportunities."

Furthermore, Freelance Work Exchange helped her to rename the
services that she offered as "marketing collateral" to the
corporate world. She changed her pitch to "copywriting, editing,
proofreading, translating, layout and design for print and web
media.". This seemingly simple mind-shift helped open up a new
market segment at a critical period.

"I love being a consultant," Amanda says. "Being able to work on
a diverse range of projects with different people, projects and
industries, is the high point of my career. But you know
something? I want to work and produce results, not spend my all
of my time LOOKING for work! Freelance Work Exchange offers me a
real solution that my micro-business can afford, with an
authentic virtual marketplace for buyers and sellers to come
together. For that, I offer them my deepest and sincerest thanks.
